Previously, she was MD and Head of Research at Everstone Capital. Prior to this, she was a Vice President and Economist at Goldman Sachs in London and NY. While at GS, she co-authored the widely read report, ‘Dreaming with BRICs: The Path to 2050’.
Roopa is also the co-author of the 2018 book: ‘Bridgital Nation: Solving Technology’s People Problem’, written with N. Chandrasekaran.
Roopa is the founder of Avasara Leadership Institute, a non-profit educational institution focusing on accelerating academic and leadership outcomes for adolescent girls in India.
Roopa serves on the boards of Tata AIG, TCS Foundation, Tata Medical and Diagnostics Limited, Godrej Agrovet and the Centre for International Governance Innovation. She is an Aspen Institute India Fellow and a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader. She has served on the Prime Minister of India’s Advisory Council on Urban Infrastructure.
Roopa is a graduate of Yale University and the London School of Economics.
